Jesus replied: “'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 'This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”  Matthew 22:37-40

Hope understands that the greatest gift anyone can provide in this area is time. So often the clients coming to us are suffering from emotional neglect, physical abuse, and what they desire most is someone to listen and hear their wants, hopes, and fears. All of our staff and volunteers interacting with clients are trained in Heartbeat International's L.O.V.E. Approach. This teaches them how to listen and learn, open options, introduce a new visio and value, and extend and empower.

A common, but unfair, criticism of the pro-life movement is that we do not care about the women after they choose life. This is untrue universally, but at Hope relationships is what we do well. We spend hours with clients at visits, just listening. We visit them at the hospital, attend birthday parties, have them over to dinner or with us to church. We offer a free Healthy Relationship class so that our clients and their partners can learn about their worth and how to break unhealthy patterns. And we seek to partner them with a community that will love them for life through connections to local churches and our mentoring moms programs.

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'" Matthew 25:40

Hope understands that parenting is overwhelming for anyone. That goes ten times for a woman facing motherhood with no support. To us, every client that chooses life is a hero, no matter what her past or previous mistakes. That is why we are committed to ensuring that we do all that we can to set them up for success in parenting.

At Hope, clients can participate in our Bright Course program. Bright Course is a curriculum, in English and Spanish, video-streaming service for providers who want to help their clients learn about topics such as prenatal care, parenting, relationships, life skills, and more. As a client participates in Bright Course she learns about critical issues, labor, preventing child abuse, breastfeeding, managing money, and so on, that will enable her to be successful as a parent. All classes are on site with a trained volunteer so that the client has someone to whom she can ask questions, speak fears, and cry, if she is feeling overwhelmed.

At the end of their Bright Course journey our clients are invited to our Baby Boutique to select a variety of new or like new baby items such as car seats, pack-n-plays, strollers, clothes, diapers, wipes, baby toiletries, and many more. We also provide referrals to other community partners that can provide larger kid items for which Hope does not have the storage space.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10:10

Hope knows that clients facing crisis pregnancies are often also suffering a far greater wound of not walking with the Lord. Our aim is that our clients not only choose life, but choose it abundantly. While we know that only the Lord can open our clients' hearts to choose life for their babies and to choose life in Him, our greatest desire is that we can serve as vessels for that work of furthering His kingdom here. All of our staff and volunteers are passionate about sharing the hope of the Gospel with our clients. As they permit, we engage in spiritual discussions, Gospel presentations, and praying over and for our clients. We offer Bible studies and connect women who have suffered from a past abortion with a Christ-centered abortion recovery program. As the Director of Embrace Grace states,"the pregnancy center is the ambulance, the church is the hospital." Even when a woman who comes to us chooses abortion, we are faithful in knowing that the Lord is using us to plant seeds and we pray that one day He will bring them to fruition for His purpose. Without Christ, there is no Hope.
